Ecole Emile Cohl

The Émile-Cohl School is a French art school and a private higher education institution recognized by the state specialized in teaching drawing and the professions of illustration, animation cinema, video games, multimedia computer graphics, comics and press design, located at 1, rue Félix Rollet in Lyon and founded in 1984. Present in Angoulême since 2021, the school delivers two diplomas approved by the State and has been co-organizing a university diploma with the Lumière Lyon 21 University since 1989. In 2019, his training in animation cinema ranks the Émile-Cohl School in 7th position in the Figaro ranking of animation schools in France, ahead of the National Superior School of Decorative arts or the Summer School2. His training in animation cinema is one of the 28 recognized training courses of the Network of French schools of animation cinema (RECA)3.
