Kvali XXI
About
Studio Kvali XXI was founded 1982. Since than the company has created more than 70 films. 57 out of 70 were animation movies. First Georgian animation advertising movie was created by “Studio Kvali XXI”. Their background counts 25-year-old experience of collaboration with foreign animation companies.
Despite making the animation products, the studio founded an International Animation Film Festival “Nikozi” which co-operates with Annecy International Animation Film Festival annually.
“Studio Kvali XXI” has been a winner of a lot of international festivals, but the most significant award was the one in 1984. Short film “Chiri”(Plague), directed by DavidTakaishvili, won an award for the best short film at Cannes International Film Festival. The last animation production by “Studio Kvali XXI”, “The Pocket Man” directed by Ana Chubinidze is the first Georgian- French animation coproduction. The film has already won 10 international awards and is invited at 93 different festivals.
