About
International sales and production house CHARADES was founded in 2017 by Carole Baraton, Yohann Comte and Pierre Mazars, following successful tenures as executives at Wild Bunch, Gaumont and StudioCanal, with the financial backing of Constantin Briest.
The company rapidly emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the independent film industry, by growing an eclectic lineup and library of over a hundred films, and securing multiple selections in A-list international film festivals.
Our director-driven slate is shaped by our desire to introduce new voices, sustained by a robust network we have cultivated over time. We believe in creators, from newcomers to established directors and producers. We endorse inventive filmmaking and audacious artistic visions, ranging from mainstream family IPs to gripping genre films and stimulating art-house cinema.
