Wait a Second!

About

Wait a Second! is the merger of the talents of Maria Trigo, Jalal Maghout, Marta Magnuska, Izabela Plucinska, Veronika Solomon, and Paulina Ziolkowska. These quite successful animation filmmakers are now united under one roof. Karsten Matern also brings many years of experience as a producer and production manager. The company's first short film projects are the Portuguese-German co-production "It Shouldn't Rain Tomorrow" by Maria Trigo, Veronika Solomon's "Tuu-Tuu-Til", Jalal Maghout's "As I Was A Tree" and "Dull Spots of Greenish Colours" by Sasha Svirsky. In addition, Izabela Plucinka's "Joko", a Polish-German-Czech Republic coproduction, in which Marta Magnuska and Karsten Matern are also involved, just premiered, and two animated shorts are in production and four more are in development, while Jalal Maghout has recently started developing his first animated feature film. Artistic animated shorts will always be an important part of the companie's portfolio and its identity, but in the future we will also focus on the development and realization of longer animated formats for cinema, TV and streaming. In addition to Jalal Maghout's first feature film, the company will take minority stakes in suitable animation projects and provide high-quality services in the areas of storyboarding, character design, 2D and stop-motion animation, as well as commissioned work. We believe that the strength of Wait a Second! lies in the outstanding artistic and technical skills of its partners, and that the combination of their talents will enable the company to create exceptional animation projects of all kinds. The long-term goal is to establish a corporate identity that stands for uncompromisingly high quality animation with an individual artistic signature.
