Prime Focus Limited is an Indian VFX and post-production services company founded in 1997 by Namit Malhotra, Merzin Tavaria, Prakash Kurup and Huzefa Lokhandwala. In 2008, they formed Prime Focus Technologies, nowadays known for their CLEAR AI technology. In 2014, the company merged with British VFX company Double Negative, renaming the latter to DNEG. The company's (and DNEG's) production arm, Prime Focus Studios (which is housed within DNEG, but run by Malhotra) produced 2022's Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva (which Prime Focus also did the VFX work) with Star Studios and Dharma Productions and 2024's The Garfield Movie with Alcon Entertainment and is currently in production on Ramayana with Monster Star Creations, Animal Friends with Legendary Pictures & Maximum Effort and The Angry Birds Movie 3 with Rovio Entertainment & Sega Sammy Group.
