HEAD - Genève, Haute école d'art et de design

Born in 2006 from the merger of two schools bicentenary, the École supérieure des Beaux-Arts and the High school of applied Arts, the HEAD – Geneva builds on a rich tradition of cultural and artistic to promote young artists at the national and international level. Recognized for the quality of its training of Bachelor's and Master's degree in visual Arts, Cinema, Design space, visual Communication and Design, fashion, jewelry and accessories, it has established itself as one of the best schools of art and design in Europe. As an academic institution, and cultural, the HEAD – Geneva maintains close links with the art scene and the local economic fabric. By installing its campus in the heart of the city, it affirms its commitment to establish a centre of excellence for the art and design in Geneva. Promoting international exchanges and interdisciplinary, this new framework of creation is also beneficial to the expansion of its institute for research in art and design. Hosting many intervenant-e-s and speakers-eras renowned, it applies a pedagogical thinking as a space of freedom as well as personal and social responsibility. Encouraging the uniqueness of each individual, the education of the HEAD – Geneva promotes the dialogue between teachers and students, protagonists of their own story of creation. These develop projects at workshops, seminars and workshops, but also to the opportunity to work with professional partners, private or public. The HEAD – Geneva is part of the HES-SO Geneva (Haute École spécialisée de Suisse occidentale), which brings together six colleges at the university level, offering training focused on professional practice and recognized on the international level.
