Lastor Media

Lastor Media was founded in Barcelona, 2008, by producer Tono Folguera with the aim of developing quality projects with an extra artistic or differential value with a target audience. With over 15 years of experience and around twenty titles in its filmography, Lastor Media’s films have been selected for the most important international festivals, such as Cannes, Berlin, Venice, San Sebastian, Toronto or Rotterdam, as well as receiving nominations and awards from Spanish, Catalan and European film academies. Our recent productions include ALCARRÀS by Carla Simón, winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlinale; the two films selected at the Cannes Film Festival, CREATURA by Elena Martín Gimeno (Europa Cinemas label in the Directors’ Fortnight) and LIBERTAD by Clara Roquet (Critics’ Week), both nominated for Best Director and Best New Director respectively at the Goya Awards; SURO by Mikel Gurrea, also nominated for Best New Director at the Goya Awards and winner of the FIPRESCI Award at the San Sebastian Film Festival; COSTA BRAVA, LEBANON by Mounia Akl, selected for the Orizzonti Special at the Venice Film Festival; and our next premiere is the film selected for the Platform section at the Toronto Film Festival, POLVO SERÁN by Carlos Marques-Marcet.
