About
Legnica Film Academy-Animated Film Workshop is a workshop consisting of ten days of practical and theoretical classes, where participants implement their own animated films.
LAF-WFA also includes screenings, lectures, exhibitions, and a festival screening of animation workshops. Classes are taught by leading creators of Polish and international animation. Using various techniques of time-lapse and computer animation, young people, children, and adults, under the guidance of outstanding specialists, create their own films, which are presented at the end of Lafu at the gala festival. Films are evaluated by well-known theorists and film critics. For many years, the event has attracted participants interested in animation from all over the country and abroad. The event dates back to 1993, when the first seminars were organized, which are the core of LAF-WFA. However, the official first edition of LAF took place in 1994.
