The Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV (EICTV) is considered as one of the most important training institutions, audio-visual aids in the world. It was created by the Committee of Filmmakers in Latin America, as a subsidiary of the Foundation of New Latin american Cinema, and with the support of the government of the Republic of Cuba. It was opened on the 15 of December of 1986. Originally conceived for students of Latin America, Africa and Asia, the EICTV put into practice the teaching philosophy of "learning by doing", with teachers who are filmmakers in active and pass on their knowledge backed by the exercise and experience. Currently, your registration is open to those interested in the audiovisual world. Through its classrooms have spent thousands of professionals and students from more than 50 countries, which has become a space for cultural diversity. The EICTV has its headquarters in the vicinity of San Antonio de Los Baños, province of Artemisa, Cuba. Located one hour from the center of Havana and 25 minutes from the José Martí International Airport, is located in an area of countryside, nestled in the heights of a vast plain.
