The State Autonomous Institution of the Republic of Bashkortostan Film Studio "Bashkortostan" named after A. Abdrazakov (abbreviated as SAI RB Film Studio "Bashkortostan" named after A. Abdrazakov) was established on May 25, 1990 by order of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bashkortostan with the aim of supporting and developing national cinematography.
Today, the Bashkortostan Film Studio is the largest state film studio in the republic, professionally engaged in the production of films and video products, the success of which is recognized at the international level.
The organizers of the film studio were members of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, honored workers of culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, full members of the Russian Academy of Cinematographic Arts "Nika": film director, laureate of the State Republican Prize named after Salavat Yulaev Amir Abdrazakov and honorary cinematographer of Russia, cameraman Ildus Galiullin.
The first director of the film studio was Amir Gabdulmanovich Abdrazakov. Over the years, the film studio was headed by: Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Vil Sagitovich Karimov; member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, holder of the Order of the Badge of Honor Mikhail Nikolaevich Novikov; member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation Rais Abdrakhmanovich Ismagilov; Aibulat Galiyanovich Yunusov; Member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Azamat Sharifovich Khuzhakhmetov. The first artistic director of the film studio was film director Malik Nasikhovich Yakshimbetov.
In 2018, the film studio was headed by director Yunir Minnebaevich Aminev.
