Bobine B
About
In 1999, Gladys De Micheli, Stéphanie Lansaque and François Leroy, all three recently arrived from their respective boondocks, meet in the office of Professor Choron (creator among others of Hara Kiri satyric magazine). The Prof nonconformism and his unconditionnal love of nem chua and white wine leave a permanent influence on them.
Gladys then embark on graphic design, as an iconographer, website and press designer. For more than twenty years, François and Stéphanie participate in many animated projects, ranging from TV series to feature films. At the same time, they direct as a duo six short films which totalize nearly 500 selections in festivals (Cannes Critics’ Week, Clermont-Ferrand, Sao Paulo, Annecy, Palm Springs, Busan, etc.), 66 awards (French critics union prize 2009, Best French animated film in Clermont 2019…), 3 selections and a nomination for Les César, as well as the faithful support of Arte TV channel.
On the strenght of these experiences, we decide in 2022 to set out on an adventure of which we have long dreamed of: creating Bobine B (B-Roll), our own audiovisual and film production company.
In cinema, B-Roll contains alternative shots which will be edited with the main shots. Like the B-Side of a vinyl record, the B-Roll is an opportunity to experiment, explore, surprise.
With Bobine B, we want to approach cinema in a crafty way, with passion and enthusiasm, to offer sincere and original films to the audience.
