Based in the beautiful, atmospheric surroundings of Topanga, TFF screens films to a unique and engaged Los Angeles community in an intimate setting – attendees include those in the film and music industry, environmentalists, foodies and the eccentric Topanga community. 🌟 ROLLING WITH THE NEW NORMAL 🌟 TFF enters a new phase in its history, rolling with the challenges and newfound opportunities in this POST-PANDEMIC world we live in. We will have a full week of online content offering screenings, showcases. Q&As, and panel discussions, in a virtual festival environment, the culminating 3 days of real life gatherings, receptions and exclusive after parties in famous Topanga fashion: inclusive, exclusive, laid-back, community-run, filmmaker focused.The Topanga Film Festival is a prime opportunity to enjoy a wealth of international and local content that ranges from creative to educationally empowering. This festival showcases the possibilities of filmmaking at all levels. We will display a selection of films that go deep and push boundaries. We are looking for the best in short, narrative, and documentary films that display curiosity and skill, and that surprise, and inform us. Jury Prizes will be awarded to the best films in several categories. Outstanding Achievement will be awarded to Young Filmmakers in several categories. A number of past filmmakers have seen their films acquired for distribution, and/ or gone on to receive critical acclaim and Academy Awards.
