ABOUT THE TORONTO MOTORCYCLE FILM FESTIVAL
Now in its fifth year, the Toronto Motorcycle Film Festival is a world-recognized and top-rated cultural event that brings people together to celebrate universal stories told through the lens of motorcycling. The Festival screens documentary, narrative films, animation, experimental, and VR experiences and includes post-film Q&As with attending filmmakers, jury and audience awards, a festival kick-off party, and a moderated TMFF Talks Q&A panel session. The festival is open to submissions from any country.
OUR PLAN FOR 2021
This year's festival is scheduled for September 17–25. We plan to have a live event with in-theatre screenings and experiences and supplement that with additional online screenings. We will present your film on our online screening platform and in a physical venue pending public health approval and in accordance with health and safety guidelines and recommendations made by government health officials.
Where required online screenings can be configured in accordance to your availability window, geo-restriction, and volume requirements. If you have any questions, please contact us.
COVID-19: Due to the ongoing pandemic, we are capable to move fully online if required. We had a great experience with our online Festival in 2020 which received positive feedback and allowed us to reach an even wider audience.
HERE'S WHAT WE WILL OFFER YOU
By submitting your film, we promise to watch it fully and give it a fair chance for inclusion in the festival. If your film is selected for screening at the Toronto Motorcycle Film Festival, here’s what you can expect from us:
• An extremely welcoming and appreciative Toronto audience that is passionate about motorcycles, films, and the motorcycle community.
• Screening of your film in a theatre with high-quality video and audio. More information on the venue can be found online at our website torontomotofilmfest.com
• Extensive promotion of your film, and you as the filmmaker, via our website and on all of our social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
• A landing page for your film on our website with a synopsis, still frame, trailer or clip, credits and filmmaker bios. Have a look at our previous Film Guides to get a sense of what it will look like.
• We will undertake a marketing campaign to garner press coverage of our festival and your film.
• Filmmakers are encouraged to attend the festival, pending public health approval and in accordance with health and safety guidelines and recommendations made by government health officials. While you’re in Toronto we'll bring up on stage to participate in a Q&A after the screening of your film. We'll also arrange meet and greet sessions with the audience, attend the opening night party and TMFF Talks Q&A panel and a private filmmaker reception. Of course, you'll also receive a VIP Pass to attend all the Festival events.
• We will treat you like a member of our extended family; with care and respect.
