UnderGround Film Festival

UnderGround is a Festival for Filmmakers, by Filmmakers. The UnderGround Film Festival (formerly UnderGround Short Film Festival) celebrates five years of bringing shorts to the big screen. Where many festivals focus purely on established talent, we pride ourselves in finding new up and coming film makers as well as those familiar to the festival circuit. The Festival circuit is often daunting even for experienced filmmakers, we aim to provide a platform to get your work out to audiences as well as giving you a welcoming basis for learning more about the filmmaking craft. We have Categories for Drama, Documentary, Experimental, National, International, Sci-Fi/ Horror, Comedy as well as being among the ONLY festivals in the Republic of Ireland to have dedicated Polish, Spanish and Music Video sections. This year see's the introduction of an Irish American Short category; focusing on the heritage and familial link between the United States and Ireland. For the first time this year we are also competitive in feature film, with two new categories for both Irish and International feature films.
