Welcome to the UK Student Film Festival which celebrates and showcases the most original, exciting and well realised short films by the most talented up and coming film students from around the world. A cash prize of $100 USD will go to the audience's favourite film of the festival! In our festival we will screen the most innovative new films from film students around the world in all different genres including drama, comedy, documentary, experimental, horror, animation and more. All we require is that films are made with conviction, a quest for originality and will involve an audience. We screen our festival in London, one of the major centres of film and content production on the planet and we will endeavour to help our officially selected films gain wider notice within the industry at large. We offer awards in these categories: - Drama Student Short - Comedy Student Short - Documentary Student Short - Animation Student Short - Horror Student Short - Student Music Video - Experimental Student Short - Action / Sci-Fi/ Fantasy Student Short - Web / New Media Student Short & - UK Student Short - North American Student Short - European Student Short - Asian Student Short - World Student Short - Longer Student Short (15 - 30 minutes) - Shorter Student Short (under 2 minutes) & for these skills – Audience Favourite ($100 USD cash prize) – Best Film Direction – Best Film Script – Best Film Female Performance – Best Film Male Performance – Best Film Production – Best Film Originality Our festival will give audiences around the United Kingdom (UK) a chance to see the wide variety of fantastic short films that are being produced by film students around the world. We accept any genre from drama to action to horror to documentary to comedy to animation and we prize originality above all. We also offer awards for the individual talents that go into making a successful film such as directing, script-writing, acting and production values. We have accumulated a database of production companies and talent agencies who will be receiving free invitations to the festival to scout for upcoming talent. The films will be judged by a panel of filmmakers, performers and creative people who know and love films. We are looking for dynamic scripts, direction and performances. Films that are, above all, involving. We are pursuing different possibilities within the broadcast and streaming industries that we hope will be, in the near future, of benefit to our festivals and the filmmakers that take part.
