Vanilla Palm Film Festival & International Art Competition ~ California

Our festival has a simple mission... to reward good storytellers and showcase their talent to the world regardless of their budget or resume. And we aren't like any other film festival on the planet because we bring the festival to YOU! Bi-Monthly winners become "official selections" and automatically qualify for the annual "live" event in May. Those films not selected during the current month automatically move on to the following month's competition. Just because your film doesn't win in October doesn't mean it won't win the November slot. The live festival venue location is decided each year based on where the previous year's "Best Film" winning director calls their California hometown. This makes it easier for the masses to participate in person each year as we bring the festival to YOU. Not least of all, our trophies are actual pieces of original artwork. No plaques or easily lost certificates for our winners! We reward winning films with a valuable keepsake anyone would proudly display. And the top prize in our festival includes an original painting by a California-based artist. Saturday, May 14, 2022 10AM-10PM @ The Bakersfield Hall of Fame Day 2 Film Screenings/ 10:OO AM-7:30PM in 90-min blocks (Meal Ticket covers lunch and dinner periods) Film and Art Awards Show @ 8:00-10:00 PM (Q&A sessions follow each screening block both days)
