About WMFF Started in 2014, The Wasatch Mountain Film Festival is a week-long outdoor adventure and environmentally documentary film festival based in Salt Lake City, Utah. WMFF is Utah's premiere outdoor film festival and attracts the world's best outdoor documentary filmmakers and attendees from near and far. Why The Wasatch The Wasatch Mountain Film Festival was conceived from the idea that the Wasatch Mountains are home to one of the most incredible mountain communities in the world. Each year millions of visitors travel from around the globe to experience this special place with unparalleled ease of access to the mountains. While our community already hosts to other world-renowned film festivals, none are focused on showcasing the spectacular outdoor environment so many of us call home.
