The festival dates of the 2020 Wexford Film Festival are subject to change but will take place after the August Bank Holiday in Ireland in 2020. Now entering our 5th year, the Wexford Film Festival invites submissions from filmmakers all over the world and in every genre. We're all about story and visual storytelling, our festival will select the films that tell the best stories and connect with the audience the best. Directors of all films selected will be invited to participate in a Q&A after their screening and to be on a number of panels during the festival weekend. At the 2018 Wexford Film Festival we had surprise special guests, 6 time Academy Award nominee Jim Sheridan & acclaimed author Eoin Colfer come and do a Q&A about their work. Two of the films (One Small Step & Detainment) screened at the 2018 Wexford Film Festival went on to be Academy Award Nominees in 2019. Come along to one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland, where Saving Private Ryan and Brooklyn were filmed and don't forget to bring your movie with you!
