2025
White Mountains Art Festival is pleased to announce its inaugural opening at the Museum of the White Mountains in Plymouth, NH in spring 2021. We invite artists from all disciplines and backgrounds to submit work that explores themes relating to the White Mountain National Forest, United States Forest Service, alpine and mountain sports, trail work, environment and community, wilderness, and anthropocene. The WMAF aims to highlight dialogue and community between artists, scientists, trail crew, and recreational users of the White Mountains to bring awareness and conversation around issues of climate change and the environment.
The White Mountain National Forest Film Festival is looking for original films between 3 to 20 minutes in length that are related and/or inspired by The White Mountain National Forest. Interdisciplinary artists are strongly encouraged to apply.
Poets, musicians, and performers are also invited to apply for a pre-festival performance.
An artist talk will occur after the film screenings. Accepted artists are strongly encouraged to attend the festival and discussion.
Submission fees are free and made possible through the New England Dance Fund (with support from Aliad Fund at the Boston Foundation).
