Calling on young filmmakers around the world to create a short narrative film relating to the following theme: “Human Rights Violations as Experienced by Women and/or Girls.” The top 10 films will gain international attention on social media platforms and be screened on Human Rights Day and at next year’s edition of the 1905 International Human Rights Film Festival in Hong Kong. Project mission: • To mark the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Dec. 10, 2018) by encouraging young filmmakers to develop their skills and highlight human rights violations to a global audience. • To enable young and budding filmmakers to creatively tell stories related to human rights abuses that will inspire others to stand up for their rights and the rights of others. • To help build connections between young human rights filmmakers around the world.
