Special awards recognise animation, documentary, fiction, cinematography and music. Eligible films are made in 2025 or later and have not been submitted to previous editions. Participants must be over 15 and may submit up to two films, each to one competition. Entries are accepted through the festival website or FilmFreeway and require English subtitles. The 2026 submission deadline is 31 August 2026. Applicants must hold or represent the necessary rights and consent to festival and promotional screenings without a screening fee.
