ZUMEFF

ZUMEFF is the longest running annual film festival in the United Arab Emirates and makes a vital contribution to the regional film industry. ZUMEFF’s objective is to honor the talent, creativity and expertise of young filmmakers by showcasing the best student documentary, fiction and animation. The 11th Zayed University Middle East Film Festival will take place online from 16th – 18th November, 2021. In commemoration of the UAE’s 50th Anniversary, ZUMEFF 2021 will present a special award this year, the Pioneers Prize, for the film that best honors the UAE leadership’s legacy of national development—past, present, and future and we are pleased to announce a new call only for participation for this very special category for 2021. For ZUMEFF 2021 we are not accepting new regular submissions, only submissions for the Pioneers Prize. All submissions received for ZUMEFF 2020 have been put forward for consideration for ZUMEFF 2021. Submissions for the Pioneers Prize are open from 9th May – 31ST July, 2021
