168 Open Category at the 168 Film Festival Since 2003, the 168 Film Festival is the crown jewel of our production competition, the 168 Film Project. For the first time ever, we are opening the festival to short films produced outside of the 168 competition up to 35 minutes in length. The 168 Film Festival is a glitzy, two-day red carpet affair featuring artists from around the world. Saturday features panels and learning sessions and a fantastic lineup of short film premieres and surprises. Sunday's highlights include more screenings from outstanding artists and the annual Red Carpet Walk. The gala awards ceremony caps the event, followed by the legendary 168 After Party. The 168 Film Festival is August 24-25, 2019 in Los Angeles.
