4K Film Festival

4K is the new standard for filmmaking. Higher end cameras have been capturing 4K (and higher) for years now, with more affordable solutions coming all the time. Now with the increasing proliferation of 4KTV's there is a growing demand for delivery in 4K as well. Some distribution outlets even require it. Technology is of course just a tool for storytelling – but film is a visual medium. Advances in image quality allow you as a filmmaker to make something even more visually compelling. Further, technology allows for expanded delivery of content, and 4K equates to new opportunities. The 4K Film Festival is not about the technology, but rather about the filmmaker's ability to use the technology to further the viewer's experience. The 4K Film Festival is dedicated to helping and motivating filmmakers to shoot and deliver in 4K – providing technical and educational resources to help with workflow and delivery; and providing potential distribution of the films to new 4K channels around the world. At the Festival in Los Angeles, films will be shown in full theatrical 4K as well as on 4KTV’s. There will also be workshops, panel discussions, product demos and networking events. Special events will also highlight both Fashion Films and Music Videos.
