We wanted to take this opportunity to address this, for many subjects, by dedicating our film festival this year to exploring our relationship to it. On November 2nd, we’ll take a moment to reconnect with the ones we’ve lost or better yet, with whom we’ve parted in this lifetime, but also honoring the time we’ve had together. In many traditions it is believed that the walls between the living and the dead are believed to be particularly thin on Day of the Dead, . Perhaps we can use this festival to have these two worlds reunite for the evening. We invite filmmakers to reflect on this idea in whichever way they feel appropriate. We also invite composers, to write an original score for string quartet, to a unique movie collage created by our director, Dejan Kovačević specifically for this occasion.
