We would like to brief you on how AIFFA works and what we do. AIFFA - the acronym comes from Aarambh International Film Festival & Awards. Our sole intention is to bring about a positive change in society and to achieve this we provide a platform to filmmakers across the world, so they can present their films on topics that concern the social wellbeing. We launched AIFFA’s dedicated website ( https://www.aiffa.in ), so that the filmmakers can register online to participate in the Film Festival. A filmmaker can register Feature Film, Short Film, Documentary Film, Web Series, Music Album, Ad Film and for 4 different film categories. Each Category has its entry fee. The best 3 films from each category will be chosen for awards by members of the jury after the films are screened in exhibition. Best films will be chosen based on film direction, quality of content, actors’ performances, uniqueness of the concept / idea, and various such factors. We wish to use your secure and trusted payment gateway in order to provide our applicants a seamless experience of the registration process.
Let us put some light on the film categories that we have introduced –
1. BETI BACHAO BETI PADHAO :
There is a huge gender imbalance and discrimination against girl child globally. Female foeticide still happens illegally. There is a severe need for people to have an awareness about the worsening sex ratio. Government of India is also promoting a campaign to generate an awareness around this issue. AIFFA is introducing “Beti Bachao, Beti Padho” film category for the film festival. The aspiring and established filmmakers can shoot films around this sensational topic and submit their films to AIFFA for evaluation and exhibition. We wish to reach as many people as we can with the screenings of these films and bring a positive change in the mindsets of men and women around the globe.
2. SWACHH BHARAT :
Another social wellness film category we are introducing is “Swachh Bharat”. With increasing population increases the problems of sanitation and waste management in India. Open defecation, waste disposal in public areas – these are the kind of things we see happening in several places of the country and these are severe issues. We are encouraging the youth to create film content on this important topic. Film is the way of reaching masses in a very less time and in a huge number. We want to promote social and personal hygiene in the country and around the world. Big water bodies in India like river Ganga, Brahmaputra which are responsible for the lives of millions are becoming the hub of waterborne diseases. We wish to spread awareness for cleanliness through the channel of films.
3. MOTIVATIONAL :
Underdog stories, tales of incredible transformation, overcoming immense hardship, and the journey of an average person to heroism. Such tales stay with us forever and inspire in us something that we never knew was there. People seek inspiring films to cheer themselves up to achieve things in life. whether they are looking to be motivated, want to discover a new dimension of humanity, or are looking to be woke up at once. We have introduced the “Motivational” film category, so that such outstanding stories will cheer the mob up. Entrepreneurship is one of the more budding industries, but even so, many people fall off the wagon quickly. There are many rough patches along the way and many want to give when it gets too tough. AIFFA wants the more motivational stories to come out and inspire the youth to do something beyond the boundaries of their limits.
4. SPORTS:
Mediocre people wish for the kids to grow up to be doctors and engineers, and there is nothing wrong about wishing so. But sports have been highly neglected by common people. Sports have been around for a very, very long time, and so have movies. There are many great movies from many genres. Sports films have been very successful. There is an abundance of great such movies such as A League Of Their Own starring Tom Hanks, and The Blind Side that won many prestigious awards. AIFFA wants to make the ordinary people aware of the importance of sports in their lives and how they can be as successful as in any other profession by playing sports for city, state or county.
