Alliance of Women Filmmakers Script Competition

Alliance of Women Filmmakers scriptwriting competition serves to spotlights writers creating unique and powerful roles for women. This script competition was established to further the mission of Alliance of Women Filmmakers to help advance the careers of writers and filmmakers creating diverse and powerful screen images of women from all ethnicities. Alliance of Women Filmmakers was established 16 years ago with a goal to increase opportunities for women filmmakers. The organization produces The Los Angeles Women's International Film Festival (www.lawomensfest.com) which showcases hundreds of films made by women filmmakers worldwide who share the same passion for creating powerful screen images of women. Now going into its ninth year, the script competition and festival continue to celebrate talented women writers and filmmakers who share their diverse stories and create powerful women characters.
