The student film competition and the competiton for filmmakers aged 20-26 will at this year's Amandus Film Festival be held at its own event in September 2021. The Amandus Film Festival is the biggest festival in Norway focusing on youth filmmakers and student films. In 2021 the event is split in two, where the festival for people under 20 years was held as an online event in March, and this new expansion of the festival for students and filmmakers aged 20-26 will be held from September 24-26 in Lillehammer. This festival has been called Amandus BLIKKFANG, meaning "eye-catcher" in Norwegian. The festival has a Nordic focus, and will accept films from both Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland, as well as associated terretories.
