Join award-winning filmmaker Anabelle D. Munro and our TMIF Impact Award's honorable judge and Hollywood director Lewis Teague ("Cujo," "Jewel of the Nile," "Navy Seals") and guests such as former season's speakers director Roger Christiansen (Friends), Aaron Seals (Casting Director of New York Casting), director Elias Acosta (Tracing Force), producer Isaac Hernandez (24Flix), and many more, to celebrate, showcase and honor films and scripts with a message.
Do you want to give people or issues a voice and make the world a better place with your art? We want to see it!
Anabelle Munro's The Most Important Films Impact Awards International Film Festival is all about highlighting the impact and meaning of the story. We call this artistic approach "purpose-driven," be it a script, film, documentary, music video, reels, composition, and more.
Created by purpose-driven producers, directors, and actors, The Most Important Films (TMIF) Impact Awards held in Los Angeles is an independent festival that celebrates the courageous talent that creates film as a unifier that transcends all cultures and languages and creates a vision for a better future.
Our mission is to serve and help outstanding and passionate creatives succeed and thrive within an industry. We proudly offer a first-look distribution deal as the 1st price for the best overall Grand Jury TMIF-Impact Feature Film with Green Apple Entertainment. TMIF endeavors to create long-lasting relationships with every submitter who joins our supportive and dedicated filmmaker family.
Past TMIF Impact Award Winners and seminar speakers include Industry powerhouses such as producer Lee Broda (poet, activist, and producer of films such as "Tesla," "The Kindergarten Teacher," "A Private War"), Jacques Thelemaques (director and CEO and founder of the LA Filmmakers Alliance), and more.
Our Festival is open to ALL filmmakers and Writers in all genres and lengths. All submissions must make a creative and poignant statement, initiate an important dialogue, and make a difference in those who view it or read it. If you have a social impact message film, be it subtle or straightforward, we want to see it.
About our exciting and packed festival week: The TMIF Impact Awards show 20/21 will run LIVE from November 10 to November 13 2022, in Los Angeles, where our TMIF Impact Award winners will be honored at the live award show dedicated to them and their craft. Seminars, after-parties, events, and screenings will all be live, as well.
We honor small films and big films. Our primary purpose is to support Independent filmmakers in the short and long run. We care because we are filmmakers and know that helping each other in the Independent scene is essential to succeed. Countless projects and collaborations have come from the connections made at TMIF.
If you are not sure if there is a category for you, please contact us, and we'll let you know. If your movie is too long or short or you don't know if you qualify, send us an email and we'll figure out a way to get your work seen by our dedicated, influential and experienced film industry professionals, our TMIF judges. We are a passionate team of award-winning filmmakers who really cares about likeminded filmmakers.
The TMIF team truly applies their heart energy and appreciate it more than words can express when we see the same approach expressed submissions. We care and want to see you and your career flourish for creating movies that matter.
We look forward to reviewing your work from a perspective that is many times overlooked and under-appreciated in film.
Hope to see you in Los Angeles to celebrate and support you and your work!

Award Categories for our TMIF Impact Awards:
Not all of the awards listed below will be given out each season, because we depend on the quality of submissions and themes and they differ from year to year. TMIF can only honor films that truly meet all the very specific TMIF award-win standards, qualifying them for a win. On the other side, we ad a new award category mid-season for outstanding filmmakers or films, to highlight their specific contributions and societal impact in film that TMIF wants to honor.
Special Award winners will be informed ahead of time to utilize PR and Social Media most effectively.
Category Winners will be announced during the award celebrations but will receive a notice of their Finalist nomination ahead of time.
