Área de Contenção - Cartaxo International Fantastic and Horror Film Festival is a film festival happening in the city of Cartaxo, Portugal, from 6th to 8th of November. This festival aims to promote the cultural and artistic values, namely, film and even encourage the taste for film and the arts in General, looking to study and discuss issues related to the theme of the fantastic and horror. The containment area still reserve a special audiovisual attention produced by Countries and Portuguese Expression Language and the region of Ribatejo. This festival brings together the films in competition in various sections: feature film, short film, animation, documentary, music video, national, regional (where are included only films made in the region of Ribatejo) and student films. In addition to a large selection of films in competition from the four corners of the world, the audience will have the opportunity to view, in Centro Cultural do Cartaxo, some of the great classics of Horror organized into retrospetivas and cycles. Thinking about the younger audience, the containment area presents a very special section of short films of great for newer ones have the opportunity to participate in this festival.
