ARFF Barcelona // International Film Festival

ARFF Barcelona is the Barcelona edition of the Around International Film Festival (ARFF), an independent competition run by the Around Films collective together with sister editions in Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin. Each city edition has its own submission call, nominees and winners. It accepts feature and short films, documentaries, experimental works, commercials, music videos, animation, student films, series, TV and new media, with separate categories for AI-made animation and VFX, film scores and sound design, screenplays, and fashion films and photography.

Selection runs in two stages: monthly official selections voted on by the jury, staff and the festival's international community, followed by an annual round of nominees, finalists and winners. Screenings are held online, and the award events focus on networking. Finalists of the city editions meet at a joint award ceremony whose host city changes each year; for the 2026 editions it is in Berlin on 28 November 2026. The festival lists Carrer d'En Fontrodona 35 in Barcelona as its venue and 18–22 March 2027 as the event dates of its current submission cycle.
