B3 Biennal of the Moving Image

The B3, whose basis is storytelling, will present in 2021 a special series focused on identity. In 2021, the B3 will illuminate these different facets and will ask: What does identity mean for the individual, what does it mean for the collective? What connects and what binds? What role does narration and its artistic implementation play here? National and international artists will deal with these questions ostentatiously, profoundly, touchingly, movingly and in any case entertainingly in their works and in spoken contributions. The B3 Biennale of the Moving Image is a cross-media festival with film screenings, exhibitions, conference and workshop programs as well as various competition formats. It conducts cross-genre and cross-national discourse on moving image trends and developments in the thematic fields of film, art, games and XR. The organizer of the B3 Biennale of the Moving Image is the Offenbach University of Art and Design (HfG). *Worldwide call for audiovisual project ideas for young professionals - HessenLab* For 4 days, from 16.10. to 19.10.21, 25 international young professionals are to go through a mentoring and conference program online with their audiovisual project ideas. The renowned mentors come from the audiovisual creative industries. Internationally established sponsors, financiers and professionals from the media and creative industries will design the conference program. The HessenLab is a young talent development program for students and young professionals and part of the B3 Talent Forum in cooperation with HessenFilm und Medien GmbH. The primary goal of the first HessenLab of the B3 Talent Forum is to build sustainable connections between professionals from the various media and creative industries and young creatives, as well as to promote international exchange. The selected participants will receive accreditation for the entire B3 2021 program.
