Basra Film Festival

*Accepted films must be translated into Arabic The Basra International Film Festival is held annually in the city of Basra, the junction of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. 550 km south of Baghdad .. The city overlooking the Arabian Gulf port of Iraq and its economic artery. What does the festival offer? 1- A competition for the production and production of films from (Basra International Film Festival). It is a genuine opportunity to support and create a professional film format that expresses the issues of the homeland positively in the face of international communities. 2- Create job opportunities and develop technical cadres of writers, actors and directors inside and outside the city through high-level workshops and workshops to be launched through the festival. 3- Archive of the film production within the city and its manufacturers through the issuance of several books accompanying the festival in its various sessions. 4- The production of a professional (professional) film about the city highlights its importance (historical, cultural and economic) to be an official film expressing the city. Competitions The festival includes six main competitions: Section 1: Basra Palm Competition for short international novelist. Section 2: Basra Palm Competition for the short Iraqi novelist. Section 3: Basra Palm Competition for short documentary film. Section 4: Basra Palm Competition for animation films. Section 5: Basra Palm Competition for the first experimental films. Section 6: Al-Fasayel Competition for films of the age group under (15) years. ___________________________________________________ مهرجان البصرة السينمائي الدولي يعقد سنويا في مدينة البصرة ملتقى نهري دجلة والفرات . 550 كم جنوب العاصمة بغداد .. المدينة المطلة على الخليج العربي ميناء العراق و شريانها الاقتصادي . ماذا يقدم المهرجان؟ 1- مسابقة منحة وانتاج للأفلام السينمائية من ( مهرجان البصرة السينمائي الدولي ) . وهي فرصة اصيلة لدعم و خلق شكل سينمائي احترافي معبر عن قضايا الوطن بشكل ايجابي بناء امام المجتمعات الدولية . 2- خلق فرص عمل وتطوير للكوادر الفنية من كتاب وممثلين ومخرجين داخل المدينة وخارجها عبر الدورات والورش العالية المستوى التي ستنطلق من خلال المهرجان . 3- ارشفة للإنتاج السينمائي داخل المدينة وصناعها من خلال اصدار العديد من الكتب المصاحبة للمهرجان في دوراته المتعددة . 4- انتاج فيلم سينمائي ( سياحي ) احترافي عن المدينة يبرز اهميتها ( التاريخية والثقافية والاقتصادية ) ليكون فيلما رسميا معبرا عن المدينة . المسابقات يتضمن المهرجان بدورته الاولى ست مسابقات رئيسية : القسم الاول : مسابقة نخلة البصرة للفيلم الروائي الدولي القصير . القسم الثاني : مسابقة نخلة البصرة للفيلم الروائي العراقي القصير . القسم الثالث : مسابقة نخلة البصرة للفيلم الوثائقي القصير . القسم الرابع : مسابقة نخلة البصرة لأفلام التحريك . القسم الخامس : مسابقة نخلة البصرة لأفلام التجارب الاولى . القسم السادس : مسابقة الفسائل لأفلام الفئات العمرية دون الـ(15) سنة .
