Beijing Queer Film Festival

Founded in 2001, the Beijing Queer Film Festival (aka Love Queer Cinema Week) is the first grassroots film festival in China focusing on independent queer film screenings and cultural exchange activities. We aim to expand public discussions on sexuality and gender identity/expression by giving a platform to diverse LGBTQ+ voices in China and beyond. In a difficult domestic social and political environment, we remain alive year after year thanks to the help, solidarity, and support of many civil society groups and individuals.
