NOTICE: Because of the situation with the Corona-virus the festival is postponed and the NEW DATES WILL BE INFORMED later 2021 Begun in 1969, the European Festival of TV and Online Religious Programmes takes place every three years in a European city. The Festival is a joint effort of the European regions of the international associations SIGNIS (World Catholic Association for Communication) and WACC (World Association for Christian Communication). The 20th edition of the Festival is taking place in Helsinki 9th -11th of June 2021 with the collaboration of the Finnish Broadcasting Company, YLE and Church Communication of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. This Festival provides an unique opportunity to present and reward the very best of television and online programmes made in Europe that express, explore and examine values in relation to religion, faith, belief and ethics. The Festival also aims to encourage networking and co-production, particularly between European TV producers, content providers and broadcasters and promote innovative and popular religious broadcasting and online content. The festival welcomes programmes in any genre, from drama and comedy to documentaries and innovative formats.
