Besides the Screen 2020

Besides the Screen is a festival about all forms of cinema that are not film. It focus on experimental audiovisual works that engage critically and creatively with the infrastructures of moving image production, distribution and exhibition. Celebrating the festival's 10th anniversary, its 2020 edition will take place in different locations all accross the globe, showcasing works that explore computer processing, audiovisual interfaces, algorithmic animations, data and sound visualizations, video-essays, narrative & sensorial experiences in mixed reality and videogames. * * * Besides the Screen é um festival sobre diversas formas de cinema que não são "filme". O evento apresenta trabalhos audiovisuais experimentais que se engajam crítica e criativamente com as infraestruturas de produção, distribuição e exibição da imagem em movimento. Em celebração ao seu décimo aniversário, a edição 2020 do evento ocorrerá em diversos lugares ao redor do globo, buscando apresentar obras que exploram processamento computacional, interfaces audiovisuais, animação algorítmica, visualizações de sons e dados, vídeo-ensaios, experiências narrativas e sensoriais em realidade mista e videogame.
