Big Water Film Festival

Due to COVID, BWFF 2021will be on-line only. All filmmakers who have submitted films to us either in the 2020 season or the 2021 season should have received an email form us explaining how we will run the Festival this year. We will be posting on Facebook links to Films of the Week each week from late Fall to mid-Winter. ( FilmFreeway requires the event date to be no more than 18 months from the opening date for submissions. Since we have carried over 2020 films, we have to put the end of our Festival no later than January, 2022-- but really we will be showing films into March of 2022.) Any filmmaker who does not want to have their film shown this way can opt out. We are disappointed that for another year we cannot risk putting people in a theater to see all of the great work that has been created. If a vaccine is available to you, please get it. (We know that vaccines are scarce in some of the countries from which filmmakers have sent us their work, and we hope you and your families can stay safe and healthy until an equitable world-wide distribution of vaccines can be achieved.) All films that are submitted for 2020 will be rolled over for consideration for inclusion in the 2021 festival. The Committee will continue to screen films, and we invite filmmakers to continue to submit them. Stay safe and healthy! We look forward to seeing your films. *** The Big Water Film Festival is held in Ashland, Wisconsin at the Bay Theater, with events in nearby Washburn, Bayfield and Drummond. Films of all genres are welcome!
