Many independent and student films are truly amazing! But these films rarely get the attention they deserve.

To fix this we've created Vurchel. Here we are collecting all the independent cinema in one convenient place, where you can watch most of the films for free. And soon we will start promoting films through various channels to help them reach a wider audience and get the love 🥰

Most films are available online only years after they have screened at festivals. It can be tough to track them down. On Vurchel, you can be notified when a film becomes available to watch online.

Boone Docs celebrates life in Appalachia featuring short format documentaries about the region or made by people who live in the area. Our inaugural festival (Feb 26th 2022) will be a one day event. There are two awards announced at the end of the festival - Audience Award ($200) and Jury Award ($300). Films will be screened in blocks and filmmakers are invited to attend and take part in a short Q&A following each block of films. If you are a student filmmaker, please send message to the festival organizers to request a submission waiver.
