BYRON BAY UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL

The event will proudly take place at 'Palace Cinemas' - Byron Bay, Australia's most prestigious cinema chain, and a friend to Independent Cinema. When I was looking to submit my very first film on the festival circuit I was really taken aback by the rational that a good film can be turned away simply because it doesn't fit into a narrow choice of genre. There's' a tonne of film festivals that cater for a very particular style of film, be it arthouse, comedy, or horror, but in doing so a plethora of fantastic creators are robbed of the opportunity to showcase their films. The Byron Bay Underground Film Fest is a little different... We're reaching out to Independent Filmmakers from around the world for their passion projects. More important than genre, is merit. If you've a film that's been made with love, then we want to see it!
