Cinemira- Budapest International Children's Film Festival

Cinemira - International Children's Film Festival designed for professionals who are creating films for young audiences. It takes place in the central of the beautiful and exciting Budapest in the autumn - October 23th-24th, 2021. During the festival, we have a competition for short animations and short live actions from all over the world and a selection of the best feature films for children. We have 6 awards including prize awards. Cinemira is also launching CINEMIRA TEEN, a competition program for short films and feature films aimed at the 14-19 years old audience. CINEMIRA TEEN will take place in the autumn - October 8-10th, 2021 Cinemira organises an Industry Forum day on the 8th of October 2021 where we present the Pitch Forum for tv series and film projects for young audiences. Also, we invite international acclaimed professionals giving lectures on how to create a relevant content for children. Every year Cinemira organizes the Writer+Director Meet up, where authors of the most successful contemporary children's book present their stories to filmmakers. Cinemira is an interactive film festival, for that, there are animation, filmmaking, makeup, stunt, dance choreography, and casting workshops for children and their families. Cinemira launches the Film market where you can find the best books, comics, and posters related to children's films. Behind the festival there is the team of the Hungarian Children's Film Academy that develops workshops for children aged 10-18 in the areas of film, television, and new media throughout the year and also produces films for children. Cinemira is a member of the European Children's Film Association.
