CPiDFF ( Sea Pee Eye Dee Duble Eff ) An independent documentary film festival, home to the fabled Martello Awards, located on the coast of the Garden of England. We are an hour from London, an hour from Gatwick Airport & 35 minutes by train from France and beyond. The world is our beach. A year of online events and a 13 day live festival with screenings at eleven different locations. Today’s new normal means that taking the festival to the audience not the audience to the festival makes all sorts of financial, logistical and environmental sense. Documentaries have an increasingly important role to play in solving global problems like climate crisis, refugee migration, political corruption, fake news and Covid 19. Solutions to these problems require global populations to change their behaviours. Documentaries can offer information and understanding that will help drive these behavioural changes. CPiDFF will feature powerful stories, told with clarity and passion that set out to increase our understanding and so contribute to changing our world for the better. The Martello Awards will be presented at a sea-side ceremony with an afterparty to remember. A wide selection of entertaining and thought provoking documentary films, a festival supporters club offering a raft of benefits and a programme of symposia and masterclasses. Entertainment with an agenda and a true heart. The full Official Selection will be presented online. All Martello Award winning entries will be shown live. More details on the festival, the symposia, the masterclasses, the documentary marketing initiatives, the Martellos, the awards ceremony and how you get invited to the afterparty here https://cinqueportsfilmfestival.com
