CLIMATE SPACE FILM & MUSIC FESTIVAL The Climate Space project originates from an idea of the composer and pianist Ludovico Einaudi. The idea has its roots in the Arctic conservation efforts of 'Elegy for the Artic' - the piece the composer created and performed on a platform in front of the Wahlenbergbreen glacier in the Svalbard Islands in Norway. Climate Space is an immersive space in which to explore new relationships with nature as it transforms under the effect of climate change through films, music and storytelling, as well as science and innovation. In preparing Climate Space, we came into contact with the work of filmmakers who tell the story of the fundamental interdependence between living beings and the environment through images, as well as with musicians who explore new sonic dimensions of the relationship between man and nature. We invited them to present their work, compare their approaches and dialogue with the audience. The pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi has been a sensitive observer of climate change issues for years. This December Ludovico will play 15 concerts at Teatro Dal Verme in Milan. As in 2019, before and after the shows, a programme of short films will screen in the theatre Climate Space. To compose the programme we are looking for short films that explore our changing relationship with a nature in crisis. Short films with a positive spin that tell stories of regeneration, conservation and mutualism of humans and nature. We would be happy if you would share some inspiration on this theme. Short films you have made or know about. https://www.climatespace.it/ https://ludovicoeinaudi.com/?lang=en
