The Gotham Awards, established in 1991, are presented annually by the Gotham Film & Media Institute to honor independent filmmakers and storytellers. The 34th edition is scheduled for December 2, 2024, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. This year's ceremony will feature categories such as Best Feature, Best Documentary Feature, Best International Feature, Outstanding Lead Performance, Outstanding Supporting Performance, Breakthrough Director, Best Screenplay, and the returning Breakthrough Performer award. Notably, a new Best Director category has been introduced. The Gotham Awards serve as a significant platform for recognizing innovative talent in the independent film industry.
