Welcome to CFF2021, The 20th edition of the Cornwall Film Festival is open for entries from across the globe now is the time to enter your short films & music video to our competition. In these uncertain and changing times film plays a big part in bringing communities and the world together and we want you to be part of it and are excited to see what you have made! The Short films at CFF2020 were screened both physically and online as part of the BFI backed AMPLIFY! Film Festival. In recognition of COVID19’s disruption of production the 20th edition of CFF will accept films made between- April 2020 -July 2021 across all categories, If your film is shortlisted your work will be judged by our by our panel of expert judges, which included in 2020 Andy De Emmony (The Last Kingdom, Four Kids & It), Kate Cheesman (Call the Midwife), Joss Agnew (Poldark), Yazmin Joy Vigus (Mermaids) and many more. Shortlisted films will also be screened at the Cornwall Film Festival (physically or digitally). With all shortlisted entries receive the Cornwall Film Festival Official Selection Laurels and the overall winner a trophy. This year we will once again be showcasing filmmaking talent, bringing worthy filmmakers to regional and national attention. As always Cornwall Film Festival seeks to represent the most innovative and adventurous developments in filmmaking. Cornwall Film Festival is fortunate to have British film director Mike Leigh as its patron who regularly attends the festival. Categories to enter for CFF2021 Short Film- an short < 20 mins made within the UK or anywhere in the world. Music Videos- a music video < 20 mins made anywhere in the world. Student Short- a short film made by anyone in full time education- anywhere in the world. South West Regional Shorts- a short film made or produced by filmmakers in the South West Region of the United Kingdom (UK). CFF is especially interested in filmmakers whose short films manifest stylistic boldness, strength of form, and the ambition to use the medium in a way that resists cliché.
