For the seventh consecutive year, the Corto e capo / Premio Mario Puzo festival continues its journey to bring cinema where cinema is usually not at home, in the remote area, in the internal area, in the zone where usually it’s hard to see motion pictures. We pursue the paradox of making the cinema central thanks to the attention of the peripheral areas and of making the central periphery thanks to the power of the images and the cinematographic story. From farmyards to squares, from cellars to terraces, from old farmhouses to outdoor arenas, every place for us becomes a good place to host cinemas, to tell stories, to show faces, places and different realities from those we normally see on the screens.
The theme of this edition is The best tomorrow! Places, spaces and people that we will be. After the inevitable moment of reflection linked to the pandemic that has attacked the world making it vulnerable and uncertain, it is necessary to look up to ask where humanity is going, and in particular what future tomorrow holds.

Per il settimo anno consecutivo, il festival Corto e a capo/Premio Mario Puzo continua il suo viaggio per portare il cinema dove il cinema solitamente non è di casa, nelle periferie, nelle aree interne, in quelle zone dove spesso è difficile vedere immagini in movimento oltre gli schermi dei propri telefonini o dei propri televisori. Inseguiamo il paradosso di rendere il cinema centrale grazie all’attenzione delle zone periferiche e di rendere la periferia centrale grazie alla forza delle immagini e del racconto cinematografico. Dalle aie alle piazze, dalle cantine alle terrazze, dai vecchi casali alle arene all’aperto, ogni luogo per noi diventa un posto buono per ospitare cinema, per raccontare storie, per mostrare volti, luoghi e realtà diverse da quelle che vediamo normalmente sugli schermi
Il tema di questa edizione è Il domani migliore! Luoghi, spazi e persone che saremo. Dopo l’inevitabile momento di riflessione legato alla pandemia che ha aggredito il mondo rendendolo vulnerabile e incerto, è necessario alzare lo sguardo per chiedersi dove sta andando l’umanità, e in particolare quale futuro ci riserverà il domani.
