Crescent City Film Festival

The Crescent City Film Festival is a student-run festival produced by students at Loyola University in New Orleans. This festival is focused on demonstrating the impact that Emerging Filmmakers can have in film and the arts. This 4 day festival strives to bridge communication channels between divided areas using a diverse range of voices, creating an inclusive, and welcoming community for creators. Both students and emerging filmmakers who have created 3 or fewer feature films and 5 or fewer shorts from the regions listed are encouraged to submit their work. The Festival will showcase feature length and short films of all genres, documentaries, experimental films, and music videos. The event will take place April 21st-24th and feature a small group of jurors along with a panel of filmmakers for Q&A’s. In our third year running, this festival will be geared towards filmmakers from the US South (Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Virginia, West Virginia, Oklahoma, and Kentucky), as well as Mexico, the Caribbean Islands (Aruba, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Martin, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, American Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Montserrat, Puerto Rico, The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos Islands) and Central America (Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama).
