DIE SERIALE is Germany's oldest festival dedicated to web series. We present short form digital series in order to connect, support and pay tribute to all talented creators from around the world and to celebrate their wonderful work. The supporting program includes the EDUCATIONAL with lectures and workshops and the SERIALE PRO with business talks, a conference program and round tables. The 8th annual edition of DIE SERIALE will take place from 8th to 19th June 2022 as a hybrid festival. The first festival week, from June 8 -13, will be held as a physical event with lectures, workshops, panel discussions, networking, pitch competition and DIMA digital market. All selected series will be screened in the local cinema. The second festival week, from June 13-19, will be a virtual event with panels and interviews, and all selected series will be shown online. The 8th Award Ceremony and the Red Carpet will take place on June 12 in the town hall of the City of Giessen. If the circumstances around the pandemic do not allow us, to screen the series in the cinema, all the Official Selection series & pilots will be presented at SparqFest. DIE SERIALE is part of the Web Series World Cup.
