Different Faces Different Voices Film Festival '18

The Different Faces, Different Voices Film Festival (DFDV) invites filmmakers from around the globe to tell the stories that often go untold in current cinema and television. Intended as both a festival and a laboratory where workshops and screenings occur, DFDV will showcase films based on innovative storytelling, authentic and original characters, and messaging that serve to tear down stereotyping and prejudice. Last year, the fest launched with its first contest - "Flicks4Chicks" which awarded over 20 unique prizes and thousands of dollars to winning filmmakers. In 2018 the festival expands, adding four new categories of submissions under its "Casting A Light" challenge. The fest is run by Harvard Square Script Writers of Newton, MA. Harvard Square Script Writers is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit. The festival will be held in various venues in both Cambridge and Boston.
