Drunken Film Festival Bradford screens independent films free of charge in pubs, cafés, markets and arts spaces across the Bradford district in England. Its founder and director, Jax Griffin, set it up to give films comfortable, informal and free places to be seen; the name refers to getting absorbed in film and conversation rather than in drink. The selection leans towards bold, DIY, artistic and experimental work alongside narrative, documentary, animation, music video and local films. The festival shares its name and founder with Drunken Film Fest Oakland in California, which runs its own submissions and programme.

The 2025 edition, in October 2025 during Bradford’s year as City of Culture, is the most recent confirmed one; the organisers call it a proper last hurrah.

Films not in English need English subtitles. Entrants allow the festival to screen the film and to use stills and descriptions for promotion; a film can be withdrawn at any time, but entry fees are not refunded. For the 2025 edition, films had to be completed after 1 January 2024.
