Zózimo Bulbul Black Film Festival: Brazil, Africa, Caribbean and Other Diasporas reaches its 14 years in 2021. The Meeting, which bears the name of its creator, each year has consolidated itself as a space of great relevance in the expansion of debates about black cinema. In addition, it is also a platform for ideas and exchanges that have been driving the creation of films made focused on the experience of black people. Zózimo Bulbul used his cinematographic productions as a way to question racism and affirm the historical contributions of the black population to the construction of the country. His initiatives have served until today as a driving force to move and expand the black cinema scene in Brazil and have cooperated so that black narratives have national and international visibility.
